Finding support when you need it most can be a difficult and daunting process, especially if that support is for your child. Here is a little more about me to help in your decision making.

Hello, I’m Alex

I’m a clinical psychologist and mum of two. I currently work part time in the NHS at the Evelina Children’s Hospital and spend the rest of my week balancing family life and running a small private practice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I love working with children and young people; their creativity, curiosity and openness mean no two sessions are ever the same.

In my NHS role, I support children living with physical health conditions, helping them navigate the emotional and practical realities of living with a long-term condition. I’m continually inspired by their resilience and strength , and I feel privileged to be alongside children and their families as they move through their health journeys.

Within my private practice, I work with children experiencing a wide range of needs, including physical health challenges, neurodiversity, mental health difficulties such as anxiety and low mood, and learning differences. A specialist part of my work is supporting young people who have experienced an acquired brain injury. This includes psychological therapy, neurorehabilitation, close liaison with schools and other agencies and guidance for family members.

I also offer support for early years parenting. This ranges from helping parents navigate pregnancy, the fourth trimester, and the first year of their child’s life to working through common parenting challenges, such as managing behaviour or finding confidence in their parenting style and choices.

Choosing the right psychologist for your family can feel daunting, after all, the relationship is at the heart of effective therapy.. I offer a free 15 minute consultation so we can talk through what you are looking for, explore how I can help, and ensure the support feels like a good fit.
